Ages & Stages of a Woman’s Life
Caryn L. Aman, MA founded her first Women’s Wisdom Circle, a Jungian oriented, soul-centered & educational, multi-generational sacred Women’s Circle exploring the “Ages & Stages of a Woman’s Life” in 1998. The first gathering of 35 women evolved into four Women’s Circles in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Later, additional groups were added in Kent and Federal Way, Washington.
Currently, Caryn facilitates two Women’s Wisdom Circles in Portland drawing women from the Portland/Metro area: a Saturday morning group and a Saturday afternoon group. These Jungian oriented Women’s Circles are open to all women interested in deepening their own personal and spiritual growth within a safe container. These sacred Circles include sisters, mothers, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, and friends currently ranging from 40 to 75 years young. The morning Circle, which has been together since 1998, has just finished the book, Untie the Strong Woman, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. We will begin a new book, Addiction to Perfection, by Marion Woodman soon. The afternoon Circle is currently working with the book, Women Who Run With Wolves, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes.
Periodically, we create and participate in a ritual Crone (meaning Crown of Age) Ceremony initiating woman (ages 60 and older) from our community into Wise Woman status. One of the tasks of Crone is to mentor and give back to our community as well as to the world at large.
